JEMS Return to Big Island: Day 5 (End of Trip)

Thursday, September 7: KOA > HNL > SMF

We had one final lovely breakfast on our oceanfront lanai, using up as much of our groceries as possible, before heading to the airport around 10:30am for our noon departure. With a quick rental car return, we had to figure out how to spend our wait time at the Kona airport, which just doesn't offer much in the way of amenities or activities! We managed to get a row to ourselves for the short flight to Honolulu but weren't as fortunate for our connecting flight home to Sac. But overall, travel was smooth and on time, and we were home with the kitties just before midnight.

Our next island adventure will be Oahu for post-Christmas and New Year's Eve. Looking forward to it!
