Sunday 12/30: Bridge Walk + Harbour Dinner Cruise
Morning yoga and lap swimming for me. Mr. E made us breakfast of soft-boiled eggs, smoked trout on quinoa rice thins, berries, and Nespresso Americanos. Yum!

We poured on sunscrean in preparation for our walk across the Harbour Bridge. Mr. E forgot to pack his hat... boo. We stayed in the shade as much as possible while walking through the city streets, but of course the bridge itself has no protection over the pedestrian walkway. Great panoramas of the harbour, Opera House, and surrounding areas.

Our plan to catch the ferry to Darling Harbour was foiled by lingering too long in the wrong spot, so we had to make due with a ferry ride back to Circular Quay instead. Major crowds as we disembarked -- yikes!!!

Sorbetto and lunch on the way back to the hotel, where we cooled down before heading out again around 4:30pm for the Ives Steps Wharf to board our tall ship dinner cruise. We met up with Sacramento friend A for the journey, which we'd arranged ahead of time back in the US when she let me know that she'd be making a quick two-night trip to Sydney during the same time as our visit in order to keep her Delta mileage status. So fun to meet up with a friend on the other side of the world!!! The dinner cruise wasn't quite what we expected, but we took advantage of having paid for the drink package to get our money's worth from the bar.

Post-cruise, as we headed back to our respective hotels, we made a stop at Blu Bar 36 in the nearby Shangri-La hotel. Rather busy but we managed to grab spots in the bar area to enjoy the evening views out over the Parramatta River. We parted from A at Martin Place after showing her our favorite Forgotten Songs street art in the adjacent Angel Place laneway and then had some more snacks at our hotel before ending the evening.
