Winter in Denver

Snow begins to fall
as we watch from inside, glad
that the car is parked

underground. Heavy
flakes cede to fluffy white bits,
and sounds are muffled.

Wintry days like these
are nice to visit, but the
hassle of walking

in slush and sleet makes
me truly appreciate
living in Nor Cal!

Discovery of a Long Grudge

She's been holding a
grudge for the past two years. I
don't know what I said

about something in
the Break Room that was so bad,
but this does explain

why she won't respond
to my "good morning" greeting
whenever we meet.
